Our youth group, ‘Climate Volunteers’ attended the Youth Exchange in Poronin, Poland between the 2nd and 8th of August hosted by Helios. The Project YASS (Youth as Agents of Sustainable Societies) welcomed 40 participants from Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, and Türkiye to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable living and empower young people to become agents of change for leading a sustainable society. Some objectives of the project are as follows:
- Increasing the awareness of young participants about the relationship between their consumption choices, daily habits, lifestyles, and natural resources
- Promoting European cooperation in the youth field
- Developing young participants’ skills of communication, active listening, interpersonal, and problem-solving via non-formal and interactive tools, exercises, and games
- Supporting the inclusion of target groups with fewer opportunities
- Developing mutual understanding between young people from different countries.
