CLIMATE VOLUNTEERS
Climate Volunteers (CLIVO) is an informal group founded by a group of high school students in Antalya. We have different backgrounds, but we focus on the climate act and green entrepreneurship altogether. Our mission is to promote climate change awareness in our community, support young people for green entrepreneurship. We believe that the world can be better with our efforts and through sustainable actions.
Our group consists of 12 people who are mostly high school students, a bio scientist, a few teachers, and a counsellor.
We are committed ourselves to a sustainable future and we want to improve the social, economic, and environmental well-being of our community through our Climate Acts. We are dedicated to environmental improvements that foster a sustainable future and lead to social and economic improvements in the community we serve.
Our goal is to help protect the environment for generations to come. Our group is very new, so we want to meet young people from different parts of Europe and work on Youth Projects cooperatively.
CLIVO wants to take active roles in:
-increasing the environmental awareness of the youth in the local;
-supporting the active citizenship by developing the knowledge, attitudes, skills and actions of young people about climate change in our region;
-involving young people in various activities such as gardening, safe cycling, cooking, beach cleaning, waste management;
-organising training/seminars to raise awareness of the local youth on different issues such as environment, green entrepreneurship, sustainable lifestyles etc. with the support of our municipality.
