Let’s be LEGENDary was an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange designed to explore urban legends through the lenses of cultural identity, shared values and creative expression. Held in Kraków, Poland, from 10 to 18 July 2026, the project brought together 40 participants from Poland, Lithuania, Türkiye, Ireland and Italy. Each national group consisted of seven young people and one group leader.

The project was based on the idea that urban legends are not only entertaining stories, but also narratives that carry cultural values, collective memories and messages about the societies they come from. Participants first explored legends from their own countries and then shared them with young people from other cultures, looking for common themes, values and differences. This process encouraged them to reflect on their own cultural roots while also learning more about the traditions and perspectives of others.

A strong focus of the project was also placed on creative and artistic expression. Participants interpreted the meanings and emotions behind selected legends through visual arts and photography. Working in small international groups, they created photographic stories inspired by different legends and transformed them into short slideshow-style videos with music and sound effects. This approach also helped reduce language barriers and created an inclusive environment where participants could express themselves in different ways.
