The third episode of the LOESS Podcast, “Learning from the Soil: Voices from Türkiye,” is now available!

This episode explores soil not only from a scientific perspective but also through its connections with education, sustainability, young people’s experiences and everyday life.

Two experts from Türkiye, Burcu Meltem Arık and Hüseyin Çağlar İnce, share their perspectives on soil, education, ecological literacy and sustainability, drawing on their professional expertise and experiences.

They are joined by three young participants who have been directly involved in LOESS activities: Sümeyye Yüncü, Efe Gümüş and Ravza Ölmez. Through their personal reflections, the young participants share what they have learned about soil, how their perspectives have evolved and why soil health matters for our collective future.

Bringing together different generations, experiences and perspectives, the episode highlights a shared message: Understanding soil is essential to building a sustainable future.

We are delighted to bring these voices from Türkiye to a wider European audience through the LOESS Podcast.

Our sincere thanks to all the speakers for their valuable contributions and inspiring reflections!
