As part of World Soil Day on 5 December, an awareness event was held in the Faculty garden on Monday, 1 December 2025, between 13:00 and 15:00, in collaboration with the Soil Ambassadors, consisting of students from the Department of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition at the Faculty of Agriculture, Akdeniz University, and ANS Education and Consultancy.
Throughout the event, informative posters and panels prepared as part of the LOESS Project were displayed, along with posters designed by students on the theme of World Soil Day. Project brochures were shared with faculty, students, and visitors. Interactive discussions and refreshments were offered at the stand, raising awareness about soil health and the importance of soil literacy.
This event helped make the value of soil in terms of life and sustainability visible in the university environment through the active participation of young people.
