ANS Education and Consultancy visited the Vocational High School for Agriculture in Aksu, Antalya, where we met with students studying agriculture and teachers from different disciplines. During the visit, the LOESS Project was introduced, and practical examples were given on how to use the LOESS SoilAR and LOESS Soil Map mobile applications, which are the outputs of the project. This was followed by an interactive discussion with the active participation of the students on the history and importance of World Soil Day on 5 December. The programme continued with a tour of the school’s application areas, where the production work carried out by the students in the fields and greenhouses was examined on site, and information was obtained from agriculture teachers about the practical training processes. This visit provided a powerful example of how soil health and soil literacy can be addressed holistically, both in the classroom and in the field.
