The Akdeniz University Science Communication Society organised a Science Café event, providing us with an opportunity to think, discuss, and question the climate crisis within a scientific framework.
With the contributions of expert academics in the field, we had the opportunity to collectively examine the causes, effects, and solutions to this global issue.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the academics from Akdeniz University who shared valuable insights with us at this meaningful gathering: Prof. Dr. Memduh Sami Taner, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ceren Uysal Oğuz, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Güray Doğan, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Senem Atvur, as well as the Young TEMA Society, for their support of the event.
We would also like to thank the Antalya Science Centre for hosting the event and for providing the opportunity to share the outputs of the LOESS project, run by ANS Education and Consultancy, with the participants.
It is our greatest wish that the number of such events, which help make science accessible to everyone and encourage discussing social issues through science, increases day by day.
